Further reinforcement with industry expertise: Knuth Kappes starts as Senior Sales Manager

We are pleased to announce another new addition to our team in November: From now on, Knuth Kappes will be joining us as Senior Sales Manager.

 

The 39-year-old has been working in online marketing and sales for twelve years already. So he has plenty of experience. Knuth graduated in 2008 with a degree in Business Administration for Media Economics from the University of Technology in Ilmenau. His digital career began immediately afterwards at iq digital, the digital marketing arm of the Handelsblatt newspaper. Here he completed the Media Sales Trainee Program. When he moved to Munich in 2010, he joined AdJug, a marketplace for premium display advertising. At the beginning he worked there as Junior Sales Manager, towards the end of his time at AdJug as Sales Manager. His focus here was on direct customer contact. In 2013, the native of Weimar was drawn to the Performance Network. The core of his work at the performance marketing agency was identifying new marketing channels, programmatic, content marketing and new user acquisition for apps. However, the 39-year-old quickly realized that direct customer contact had become a passion he no longer wanted to miss. That’s why he decided to switch back to sales and found his next professional challenge at Outbrain. Here he worked as a senior sales manager until May 2020 and primarily looked after marketers from the start-up scene. Knuth made a significant contribution to the growth of performance and KPI campaigns in particular.

 

In his free time, Knuth trains running three to four times a week. He has even completed various half marathons throughout Europe. For this he has already traveled to Lisbon, Stockholm and Mallorca. His goals are even higher: as soon as Covid-19 allows it, he would like to run in a marathon. In winter Knuth loves skiing, especially alpine and skating. If Knuth is not spending his time running or skiing, he prefers to spend time with his family. The father of two likes to travel as far away and as long as possible. Most recently, he and his family spent several weeks in Mexico and South Africa. He is a big Game of Thrones and FC Bayern fan. Whether at the Allianz Arena or on TV, Knuth never misses a game of his favorite team. He also loves to drink coffee, which by the way is his secret for a good day in the Sales team. 😉
