Munich, February 25, 2019 – The new year is off to a successful start for trbo: With Telefónica and Ströer Digital Publishing, the Munich-based technology company wins two prominent new customers. Both companies will be using trbo’s onsite personalization platform, which enables online shops and websites to address visitors individually.
Besides Telefónica and Ströer, other companies also rely on trbo’s technology from now on. These include the alpine sports specialist Bergzeit, the furnishing specialists from DEPOT, the family business Reisenthel and the travel provider l’tur. The trend towards the personalization of web offers brought trbo further significant growth in 2018. This enabled trbo to double its turnover in the past financial year. In 2017, the Munich-based technology company had already tripled their turnover.
In 2019, trbo continues to focus on expansion. The company intends not only to expand its market leadership in the field of onsite personalization in Germany, but also to strengthen its position throughout Europe. As part of this, the number of employees was doubled last year. In order to cope with the strong growth, the company also moved into a new, centrally located office on Leopoldstrasse in Munich in late summer 2018, thus significantly expanding its space.
“Onsite personalization is a central element of many web shops and publishers’ strategy. We want to use this development for trbo and seamlessly build on our successes of recent years in 2019. We will continue to optimize our technology in order to offer our customers the best service and to convince other companies of our technology,” says Felix Schirl, Managing Director and CTO of trbo.
Björn Schwenzer, Chief Executive Officer of Ströer Digital Publishing, adds: “Even as Germany’s largest news portal, we can benefit from trbo’s onsite personalization and optimization capabilities. By dynamically adapting content, trbo enables us to respond even better to the interests and needs of our users.”
