Cost per Sale (CPS) is a billing model in online marketing in which billing takes place after the sale. This can involve a product, a service or the conclusion of a subscription.
Calculation of the CPS:
The CPS is calculated by comparing the total costs of the measure with the sales.
CPS = total costs / sales figures
The CPS is used in both online marketing and affiliate marketing. This model is especially interesting for small or medium-sized companies with a small advertising budget.
In addition to the CPS, there are other, alternative billing models:
- Cost-per-click (CPC)
- Cost-per-order (CPO)
- Cost-per-mille (CPM)
- Cost-per-lead (CPL)
