The onsite personalization platform trbo takes over the Munich-based conversational commerce and guided selling provider Chatchamp. The parties involved have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. Both companies will operate independently in the market for the time being.
Online users have high expectations of the browsing and shopping experience; they expect content and offers individually tailored to their needs. To expand its existing product portfolio by providing a perfect guided selling module, the personalization platform trbo has combined forces with its long-standing partner Chatchamp. In the future, Chatchamp and trbo will jointly align their strategic product development with growing even closer together and offering their customers more options to create a perfect onsite user experience. The two solutions will also be available as Stand-alone products to provide all online shops with the best possible product fit.
For several years, trbo and Chatchamp have maintained a partnership that includes joint marketing activities, particularly technical integration. Chatchamp’s solution can thus be run via trbo to A/B test the placement and targeted display of campaigns in terms of their performance. Data exchange for enriching user profiles to further address users via trbo’s product recommendations or additional matching offers is already provided via trbo’s data enrichment function. Due to the high demand for a Guided Selling product, we asked ourselves whether we should start our development or work even more closely with Chatchamp in the future. We have decided to take this step not least due to the optimal personal fit.”
The requirements for an onsite experience tool have grown in recent years. Niche product providers and prominent personalization vendors have already merged. “For us, deciding to work even more closely with trbo in the future was easy. We have already become familiar with trbo’s extensive expertise as a personalization provider and A/B testing tool in the past years. We have also developed successful use cases for some joint customers. Since data exchange and the further use of this data are becoming increasingly important, we have already relied on interfaces in the past. In trbo as a personalization software with a variety of existing data interfaces, we have found the perfect fit to connect the results of our product consulting with other data sources and thus ensure an optimal holistic user experience,” says Felix Schröder, CEO of Chatchamp UG.
